Information on getting to Bern from the Tourism Office<\/a><\/p>\n

By plane<\/h4>\n

Switzerland’s main airports are at Basel<\/a>\u00a0(1h20), Zurich Kloten<\/a>\u00a0(1h15), Geneva<\/a> (2h) and Bern Belp<\/a> (30-40 min.). These approximate travelling times are\u00a0for public transport connections\u00a0from the main airport terminal to Bern’s main railway station.<\/p>\n

By train<\/h4>\n

The Swiss railway network is legendarily punctual and well-organized. We recommend that you arrive in Bern by train<\/a> if you can. Bern is two hours from Geneva\u00a0and one hour from Zurich or Basel.\u00a0SBB Timetable, please click here<\/a><\/p>\n

From Bern’s main station, on foot<\/h4>\n

Exit the station in the direction on “Schanzenstrasse”\u00a0\u2013 ascend the escalators\/lift to the walkway above the railway tracks, beneath the large, curved wooden roof. The UniS building is on Schanzeneckstrasse, to the left of the main road up the hill. The entrance is no more than two minutes away from the station exit (by pedestrian access).<\/p>\n

By car<\/h4>\n

Follow the signs to Bern city centre and main train station. The main parking garages<\/a> are signposted from most motorway exits, with the number of free spaces kept up-to-date. The closest parking garages are at Bahnhofparking<\/em> (the main train station) and City West<\/em>.
